A Shape body type >
If you have narrow shoulders and wide hips and want to balance them out, look to swimsuits with wide-spaced straps, these will add width to your upper body.
An alternative option to create the illusion of more balanced proportions is to opt for designs with one shoulder or ruffle details up top, these will add volume to the area.
V Shape body type >
For plus size ladies with wider shoulders and narrow hips, halter-tops and deep V-necklines are great for achieving the illusion of balanced proportions - if that’s what you’re after.
Most women would love a shapelier bottom, however If you want to draw attention away from yours, wearing a lighter colour on top and a darker colour on your bottom half is a clever way of drawing the eye up and away.
H shape body type >
H shape women’s shoulders and hips are of equal circumference.
If you want to fake a waist, look for swimwear styles with vertical detailing and colour contrasting side paneling that will create a narrower looking middle. Many women would love an ample chest, but if you fancy a boost in the bust department
you will benefit most from ruched cups and large print placements across the chest.
O Shape body type >
O shape women are fullest around the mid-section with slight shoulders and slender legs.
If you feel self-conscious about your tummy (we don’t think you should, but we understand everyone has hang ups), you could opt for an empire line cut that skims over your stomach. Alternatively, high waisted swimming briefs and tankinis are also an option if you fancy more coverage.
